As I run through them, I am keeping in mind that there are quite a few sub niches within the camping world with a large variation of affiliate programs to choose from. So how have I picked my best 10? Well… I really just wanted to give you a good cross section of what is out there so I did some searching around and checked a few out and chose them by looking at:
- What they offer
- Commission rates
- Payment terms
- Cookie duration
- Application processes
- Affiliate/Marketing materials provided
Camping Affiliate Programs
In my research, stats show that campers will spend money online if it can make their lives easier so as long as you are solving problems, then you are on the right track. And to give you a boost, let's have a look at 10 programs that I have found below:
1. Coleman
Let's start with Coleman, a site that encompasses a massive range of camping related products. It is a well-known and trusted brand with good quality and a great price range.
Their entire range is too large to list here but does include:
- Tents & shelters
- Grills & kitchen
- Coolers & drink ware
- Lanterns & lights
- Sleep & camp furniture
- Gear, gadgets & ATV
- Replacement parts
This is a great site to link to if your niche is generalized as there is certainly enough there to keep your readers occupied for years. And even if you are working in a narrower field (such as a particular type of camping), there is opportunity there for a little cross selling into other equipment that your readers may need as well. And with their big brand inventory, you may be able to sway some of those nervous buyers to purchase from you online rather than heading out locally.

2. campingmaxx.com
campingmaxx.com is another popular all encompassing site that incorporates big brands and many products for any type of camping need. Specialising in “high-end camping, scout, disaster preparedness and survival gear”, they offer low prices and a large range to again make it a good program for both generalist and more specific survivalist type sites.
As with Coleman above, there are too many products to list but the highlights include:
- Camping and hiking gear – you name it, they have it
- Scout gear – compasses, lights, small one man tents etc.
- Emergency gear – fuel tanks, first aid kits and so on
- Men's, women's, summer and winter camping apparel
This is great site for survivalist or “what to do when you get lost” type posts and niches.

Marketing material provided: Text links and banners
3. Gear Coop
If your camping niche includes hiking, climbing, cycling, cross-country skiing and so on, then Gear Coop has you covered.
The beauty of their site is that camping wise, they specialise in everything that is small:
- Small tents
- Small sleeping bags
- Small camping stuff
- Small anything that will fit in a backpack, on a bike or in a kayak
They also sell the relevant backpacks and other travel related stuff you allow you to get your camping on away from the rat race. Oh, and addition to this, there is a massive range of clothing for every activity listed and them some – socks for hiking, jackets for snow skiing, gloves for climbing – this is a great site for the outdoor and camping clothing niche. They also stock well-known brands such as North Face, Back Diamond, Adidas and Cotopaxi – just to name a few.
Commission Rate:
- 11% or Higher Available for Top Performing Affiliates and Placement Opportunities
- 7% Commission on Sale/Clearance items, 8% on Gear, and 9% on Clothing/Shoes

Marketing material provided: Text links and banners, product feed
4. Camping world
With Camping World, we step away from the tents and into all things RV. I am a bit of a purist myself so always think of camping as tent based but the RV industry is so popular that I have added it in here. Camping world has a wide network of traditional brick and mortar stores making it a well-known entity which is great for online promotion as well.
Camping world has a massive range of products for inside and outside RVS as well as other general camping, boating, fishing and hunting gear for amateurs and enthusiasts alike making it a great program for any camping niche. Oh, and it also sells actual RVs.
The big advantage here is the high ticket items that you can promote as well – I mean 6% on a $700,000 RV is certainly nothing to be sneezed at. This is not easy as it is generally not something that people will just jump on and purchase online, however you never know your luck. That said, they do offer a large range of RV servicing and maintenance options that are absolutely ordered online – you just need to ensure that readers use your link at every RV service (did someone say email list?).
Commission Rate: 6%
Payment Terms: Monthly
Cookie Duration: 10 days
Application required?: Yes – Camping World's affiliate program is managed by Rakuten. You will be required to apply for an account and then for the Camping World affiliate program. You will need to enter personal and website information as well as promotional plans and platforms to be used.
Marketing material provided: Access to exclusive newsletters, coupons, ad banners, text links
5. Outdoor Vitals
If your site has anything to do with portable camping fun such as hiking, cycling, kayaking etc., then Outdoor Vitals provides a great avenue with its ultralight range of products.
Their range is not as large as others but their specialty in super light and portable camping equipment makes them a very attractive site indeed. Oh, and don't forget the extra opportunity to promote these products if your readers have to fly anywhere to get to where they want to go to help them avoid all those luggage weight restrictions. Their range of products includes:
- Sleeping bags
- Pads and pillows
- Shelters and tents
- Backpacks
- Hammocks
- Hiking food
Commission Rate: 10%
Payment Terms: Monthly.
Cookie Duration: 30 Days.
Application required?: Yes – Outdoor Vitals' affiliate program is managed by AvantLink. You will be required to apply for an account and then for the Outdoor Vitals affiliate program. You will need to enter personal and website information as well as promotional plans and platforms to be used.
Marketing material provided: Text links and banners, follower discounts and pricing
That's right! Wealthy Affiliate provided me with all of the tools and training I needed to get this post in front of my audience - a.k.a YOU!
You too can start your very own online business here that can make you money from anywhere in the world!!
6. REI
REI is another massive site that not only encompasses all things camping but also water and snow sports, cycling and even yoga. This can provide you, as an affiliate, with so many post idea variations and cross sells within the camping niche that you will probably never run out. There are way too many products to list here and the sky really is the limit.
The added bonus with REI however is their range of adventures, or group trekking trips to all manner of locations such as Machu Picchu, Mount Kilimanjaro and the Galapagos Islands.
They offer these trips based on activity (hiking, kayaking, skiing etc.) as well as trips for women, families or advanced fitness levels (and trust me, this is just the start of the options). To be honest, there is enough here to make this a travel related affiliate site on its own, but within the camping niche, then the high ticket and upsell opportunities are fantastic.
Commission Rate: 5%
Payment Terms: Monthly.
Cookie Duration: 30 days
Application required?: Yes – REI's affiliate program is managed by Avantlink. You will be required to apply for an account, set up your network and then for the REI affiliate program. You will need to enter personal and website information as well as promotional plans and platforms to be used.
Marketing material provided: Product data feed, text links and banner ads.
7. Camp Chef
Camp Chef, as the name suggests, is all about the camp kitchen. Whilst it is a site almost more suitable to the barbecue niche there are definite option here for the campers – especially those who camp/RV long term and hence not worried abut traveling light.
Their full range of products includes:
- Flat top grills/barbecues
- Camp stoves
- Stove accessories
- Grills and smokers
- Portable and cast iron ovens
- Fire Pits
To assist with the promotion of these products and to assist with ideas and other information for your site, there is also access to video recipes and cooking demonstrations as well as a great blog covering everything from recipe ideas to ‘how to's' for their products,
Commission Rate: 10%
Payment Terms: Monthly

8. Out of the Box Camping
This is a site that is a little more obscure but a good one to aim at the long term RV travelers or full season campers. Out of the Box provides “premier subscription boxes for RV enthusiasts”.
Out of the box is a subscription based service delivering boxes every three months that contain 6 to 8 RV based items such as
- Camping themed lifestyle products,
- Clothing,
- RV accessories, and
- Decor
- Snacks
- Organizational products such as checklists and planners
This is a great cross sell site for any RV or long term camper/traveler site and there is also the ability to purchase items individually allowing for gift related posts as well.
Commission Rate: 10% – on first sale only
Payment Terms: Monthly
Cookie Duration: 7 Days.
Application required?: Yes, basic personal, website and promotional information required
Marketing material provided: Banners, Ads and copy, Text Links
9. iKamper
iKamper deals with all your car/SUV related camping requirements including rooftop tents, portable complete camp kitchens and various on car storage accessories.
Although there are a number of lower cost accessories, most of the products here are high ticket ($2000+) making this site a great addition to any camping or travel niche. The site also contains some good blog information as well as some great travelogues of real life use of the products.
Commission Rate: 10% (average sale $2000)
Payment Terms: Monthly
Cookie Duration: Not stated
Application required?: Yes, iKamper’s affiliate program is managed by Avantlink. You will be required to apply for an account then for the iKamper affiliate program. You will need to enter personal and website information as well as promotional plans and platforms to be used.

10. Outdoorsy
Outdoorsy opens up a different angle on the camping industry for affiliate marketers via the rental of campers, SUVs, RVs and caravans.
The beauty of this site, apart from the ability to market the entire camping/road trip experience in your posts, is the fact that you can make referral commissions in two ways:
- When a referral vehicle booking is confirmed (first rental only)
- When a referred owner successfully completes the listing process for their vehicle.
In addition, there is a great reach of potential visitors and referrals with Outdoorsy operations in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France and Spain.
Commission Rate: $50 – $100 per referral
Referral commissions can be paid on both renters booking vehicles and owners listing vehicles.
Payment Terms: Monthly
Cookie Duration: 30 Days
Application required?: Yes, Outdoorsy’s Affiliate Program is run primarily via HasOffers, but is also available on AvantLink and CJ. You will be required to apply for an account for the Outdoorsy affiliate program. You will need to enter personal and website information as well as promotional plans and platforms to be used.
Marketing material provided: Banners, Text Links,
Amazon associates
Alternatively, should you wish to set up your site up with a range from a few different brands or companies on the same site then you can do so via Amazon. Amazon provides access to a good range of camping products and has a fairly good affiliate program as well. So if you wish, join the Amazon Associates program, locate the relevant camping related products within Amazon itself and you can post links on your own site as per below:
Amazon's commission rates are nowhere near as high as some of the programs listed above (4 – 7%) however some prefer this avenue due to the sheer amount of traffic and trustworthiness that comes with a company site of this size.
What is camping?
Look, silly question I know, and to be honest, the more I looked into this, the more I realized that I could probably have split this genre into two or three sub posts covering different aspects of camping. I have tried to cover a good cross section across some of the best camping and outdoors affiliate programs sub niches such as:
- General camping
- Beach camping
- Snow camping
- Lightweight camping
- Backpacking
- Motorcycle camping
- Camping with kids
- Camping for oldies
- High ticket items – glamping, overseas trekking tours, caravans, campers etc.
And of course anything else that you may incorporate when you think of camping.
What can affiliate marketers promote?
There are essentially no real barriers to what affiliate marketers can promote when it comes to camping. There are however some things to be aware of as you run your eye over affiliate program possibilities that may suit your site. These are:
- Know your audience, some campers know exactly what they want whilst others are newbies. Choose your affiliate sites accordingly.
- Campers will not take risks with the safety of their families – so make sure the products you are promoting are safe.
- Seasoned outdoorsmen such as hikers and hunters want clear, precise information with features and benefits highlighted.
How to find your own affiliate programs
As stated earlier, by outlining the sites above I have really just tried to give you a good cross section of the types of programs that are out there by listing the really good ones in each ‘category'. That does not mean that you cannot find affiliate programs that better suit what it is that you are trying to do within this space – especially as I could never even begin to cover every camping requirement or sub niche in the one post. Luckily for us, there is a simple way to find these programs online.
All you need to do is enter “affiliate: niche type” into your search engine (substituting ‘niche type‘ for whatever product it is that you are choosing to sell).
We can even dig a little deeper with a more specific sub niche related search
There are camping related affiliate programs for everything else that we have listed at the top of this page as well – you will just need to have a look around until you find one or two that suit your site. Once you have completed your searches, you can look through and find programs that:
- Relate to your niche/problems that you are solving.
- Have quality products – your brand can be severely damaged if you promote poor quality products.
- Have solid payment and customer service arrangement.
- Pay decent commissions.
- Have good testimonials covering commission payouts and quality of product.
In most cases, you will need to apply for the program before you are allowed to promote their products – don’t take this step lightly or you will be rejected. Affiliate programs will generally want to know:
- Your website name.
- Traffic levels.
- Why you want to join – (so I can make money by selling your RV cleaning detergent is unfortunately not generally a good enough answer).
- How you plan to promote their products.
Conclusion
So… There are 10 camping and outdoor affiliate programs to pitch this year. I hope it has been helpful for you as you commence your own camping based affiliate marketing business and as usual, please do not hesitate to comment below if you have any questions, need some advice or have any experiences to share. Oh, and especially comment if you have any experience with these, or any other programs as well.

Paul
Good blog you’ve got here.. It’s difficult to find high quality writing like yours these days.
I seriously appreciate individuals like you!
Take care!!
You are welcome – thanks for your comments
Paul
I found you sight to be very interesting. I often camp when hiking in to fish somewhere. As well, I enjoy motorcycle camping. Unfortunately, a pop up ad for an affiliate toolkit came up and I could not get rid of it. I have bookmarked your site and will go back to it. As an affiliate marketer, I am always looking for ways to branch out. My niche is fishing equipment. A camping affiliation would fit in well. Thanks for the site. I will check it again.
Hey Anastazja
Thanks for letting me know – I will check out that popup
And yes, camping will work well on a fishing site too.
Paul
Thank you for such a wonderful article
My pleasure
