Commission Plan X Review

Commission Plan X Review

Hey guys, and welcome back to Make that Sea Change – as you are all probably aware, one of the main focuses of this site is to assist you in finding good ways to earn money online so that you can fund your own sea change in whatever fashion that may be for you. Those of you familiar with my work will also know that I like to point out what it good and not so good out there so you don’t get burnt with the scams. Hence, when I find a site that tells me about a “Weird Commission Plan Made An EASY $1,500,000…”, then I am going to try it out. So with that in mind – welcome to my Commission Plan X Review.

Ok, so there are two main things I want to check out here – first, can I make money with Commission Plan X? And secondly, is the $17 I paid for it worth the money?

For this review, I will run you through:

  • What it is
  • How it works
  • Pros and Cons
  • Cost
  • My recommendations

Can you make money with this program? – Well, you probably could – you will need some other software (which they do tell you about) – but if you follow the instructions and try all the methods then yes, you probably could make the cash. Is it worth the $17? – look the information is sound and could probably work – I have paid a lot more for a lot less.

Do I recommend it? – translated to “Am I happy with what I have got for my $17?” – You know what? It is not too bad… there are some definite holes in regards to traffic, building an audience, the amount of work needed and I can’t really see the amounts of money they discuss being made initially. I do think however that you could make you a little cash with a lot of work and a decent social media following.

I will elaborate more on all of this below…

Red Flags

Usually programs of this type with the sorts of headings they have used ($477 per day etc.) come with all sorts of red flags and straight off the bat, there are so many of them here that if I wasn’t looking to purchase for the purposes of this review (and maybe, just maybe in the ever lasting hope that one day one of these programs may just work…) then I would have just closed the tab and got on with my day. But anyway, these red flags include:

  • Long sales videos with lots of pitches but with no identification of the actual person behind the program (we see a driver’s license of a guy called Dylan but that is it).
  • Fake testimonials telling me they made $1000’s in the first month that they owned the program – Yep, I found the same people on – these people really need to invest in some new, unrecognizable reviewers.
  • Constant reminders that “I know you have been scammed in the past, but this is different – this is the real deal”
  • A long story about how the speaker was broke and about to lose his house and marriage until he discovered this method.
  • The video never actually explains what the program is.

And I will never understand why they all user the same people to do the testimonials. Seriously guys, get some new talking heads – or here’s an idea – get some real customers to talk. But anyway…

What is Commission Plan X?

commission x review - home

Commission Plan X (CPX) is an online training program that coaches users on the method of ‘post jacking’. Post Jacking is the where affiliate links (they use Clickbank) are placed as ads over the top of news stories and blog posts (written by others) and shared via social media – CPX calls these campaigns.

The idea is that the story or blog post becomes the click bait that members of carefully chosen FaceBook groups click on and read. Whilst they are doing so, a popup ad is displayed over the top with a link to whatever affiliate product that the CPX user plans to promote.

What do you get?

So, with my entry level package I received access to the members area where I there are 6 steps to follow in order to get my campaigns up and running. Each step contains a couple of 2-3 minute videos demonstrating the process.

These are outlined as follows (after the Start Here section explains the screens to get you going):

Step 1: The Setup

This section talks you through the setup that is required to create your campaigns. In this instance, you are firstly introduced to the fact that there is just the minor issue of purchasing another software platform called This is free to join then around $35 per month to maintain. You cannot perform any of the further campaign building requirements without this program!

You also need to create a Clickbank account so that you can access the products that you want to promote.

Note: Other affiliate links could be used however if you wanted to try this with – how do I say this – links to some products of quality.

Step 2: Organisation

These videos run through the process to create an online spreadsheet and folders to manage and store the contents of each campaign created.

Step 3: Research

In this section, users are taken through the process of locating the base items for their campaign. This includes:

  1. Finding a product to promote in Clickbank
  2. Locating a news article or blog post online that matches the product

e.g. As kin the pic above, they use an example of a dog training product which they match to a news article in which a German Shepherd saves his family from a house fire.

Step 4: Build a Campaign

This is where campaign is built using the software (as I mentioned earlier, you cannot complete these tasks without this software) and the spreadsheets that were setup in Step 2. The process is undertaken over a few videos so that at the end there is a customised URL that can be added to your social media account.

Step 5: Post your link

Step 5 is a simple step by step on how to add your newly created campaign link to your social media account both as a post on your own page and as a comment in relevant Facebook groups (as in this case a German Shepard Facebook Group).

Step 6: Daily Tasks

Daily tasks are broken down into two parts:

1. Update your spreadsheet with new links for new campaigns.

2. Check your account to see how your current campaigns are working and tweak/promote/remove as necessary.

The program also comes with some free bonuses as follows:

These are a selection of e-book and video training tools covering all aspects of social media ads, traffic and general affiliate marketing. These are actually pretty good.

Strategy call

The other offering from this program is a free strategy call to discuss how you plan to use the platform. I did not utilise this myself.

Do I recommend it?

Look, as I have stated a number of times, the process itself is one that could make some money if you were willing to follow the processes and sink a lot of time and effort into building your links – and I would certainly not call it a scam. This however does not do much good if you do not have a good Facebook following or cannot afford the monthly subscription to

In terms of building yourself an ongoing sustainable business, this program will not cut it for you. I know they have the strategy calls in place and whilst I do like the quality of the training, I just can’t see post jacking as a solid enough arrangement to think that this is one that is going to build some decent long term online income that affiliate marketing can bring.

How does it compare to my #1 Recommendation?

Honestly, if you are looking for ways to make a little ‘cheddar cheese’ on the side and not looking to set up a complete online business, then the information and tools found here could certainly assist you in doing that – and more power to you. However if you are serious about building a solid and sustainable business, then I recommend that you give Wealthy Affiliate a try. Wealthy Affiliate is a comprehensive training, website building (WordPress editor included) and hosting platform that will guide you through the entire online business building process, including Social media and SEO in an easy to follow but comprehensive manner. Paul and Nic Logo - Make that Sea Change

Hey there, my name is Paul and I am the owner and founder of Make That Sea Change.  I spent 30 years in a cubicle working the 9 to 5 grind and just wanted to live at the beach.  I was lucky enough to achieve that with the help of my wife and our new Pilates studio.

Then I decided to help fund my new sea change with some affiliate marketing.  I joined Wealthy Affiliate, and as they say, the rest is history.

Let me know how I can help you fund your sea change today!
