Drone Affiliate Programs
Stats show that people will spend money on drones online if it can make their lives easier so as long as you are meeting their needs and solving problems, then you are on the right track. And to give you a boost, let's have a look at 10 programs that I have found below:
1. DJI

Let's start with one of the big players in the drone market with DJI. Their range is massive with access to everything drone related including:
- Recreational, professional and industrial drones
- Flycams
- Parts and accessories
- Drone VR kits

This is a great site for those in just about any drone related niche as well as generalist sites. Their range of products is huge with the added bonus of some great cross selling options such as:
- Educational robots
- Intelligent selfie sticks/tripods
- Ronin sticks
There is also a fantastic buyers guide and instructional equipment to not only assist your readers but as a good source of ‘post fodder' as well.

- Recreational, professional and industrial drones
- Flycams
- Parts and accessories
- Drone VR kits
- Outdoor imaging monitors
- Racing goggles
- Specialized remote controls

Again, as above, there are plenty of options to promote here especially if you are dealing with those who have purchased a device elsewhere and are looking parts and accessories. They also offer side products such as robots, camera sticks and a small range of ‘hobby' drones (iron man decal etc.) making this another great site for any drone niche or sub-niche.

3. HobbyTron

Whilst more of a site for everything remote controlled related, HobbyTron is well worth a look for your drone programs as well. There is pretty much a remote controlled version of every type of vehicle available here ranging from the cost effective to the more expensive hobbyist collections with a great range of Drones and Helicopters.
These products fit squarely within the hobbyist side of the drone niche so if you can outline their features and benefits, then you know that enthusiasts will spend money on them.

4. RC Envy

Like HobbyTron above, RC Envy is more of an all-purpose site for remote controlled products with a great range of drones, helicopters and aircraft. They do however have a few items that I have not found elsewhere to date such as an underwater drone as well as a good range of racing equipment.

There are plenty of accessories available and obviously a good range of cross selling opportunities for those within the hobby drone niche with other remote controlled vehicles available.

5. Swellpro

If you are promoting anything to do with the use of drones around anything to do with water – fishing, surfing, swimming, nature etc – then Swellpro might be a great addition to your site. Swellpro offer a range of completely waterproof drones including:
- All-in-one waterproof drones with waterproof remote controller, 4k videos and 12MP photos for filming high speed watersports.
- Professional & multipurpose drones designed for both filming, boating, fishing and rescue.
All able to be used for some fantastic photography capture in areas that other drones just cannot go.

They also offer a great range of accessories and parts – which are also waterproof as required.

6. Scorpion Drones

Scorpion Drones offer a large range of drones that are used mainly for industrial purposes including:
- Agriculture – including spraying
- First responder – Infra Red and Heat cameras etc.
- Inspection
- Cleaning – water sprayers

This is a great site for those in the industrial or non-recreational use niche and also contains a large range of parts, accessories and camera stick products as well. And as something a little on the ‘opposite' side of things, Scorpion also offer a small range of drone detectors which could add another dimension to any drone related site.

7. ABJ Drones

ABJ Drones doesn't actually sell drones as such, rather drone services. Their specialty is in the professional drone use area offering services such as:
- Drone Wind Turbine Inspection
- Drone Solar Farm Inspection
- Drone Power Line Inspection
- Drone Pilot Network and Jobs
- Drone Consulting Services

This site probably doesn't offer the same opportunities from a generalist sense that some of the others do but can still be useful from a high ticket or specialist type options such as hand in hand with the Scorpion Drones site above. There is also the ability here however to sell access to the ABJ Drone Academy which offers a large array of professional drone piloting and management programs worldwide.

- Level 1: 1-9 Sales within 30 days = 40% Commission

8. Sold by Air

Sold by Air is similar to ABJ Drones above in that it sells drone services rather than drones this time exclusively within the Real Estate industry. The company uses drones to take photos and videos from the air of houses and properties to be used by real estate agents etc. in their sales materials.

Again, there is probably not enough here to build an entire site around however it is a good site to add as an addition to any industrial market and obviously if you happen to be within the real estate game.

Commission Rate: 10%
Payment Terms: Monthly ($25 threshold)
Cookie Duration: Not Stated
Application required?: Yes – you will need to enter personal and website information.

9. DroneVideos.com

DroneVideos.com are another service company that provide 4k aerial videos and photography on just about any subject that you can think of. Their process works as follows:

I am starting to think now that if you could incorporate this, and the two sites above onto one affiliate marketing business then there is probably plenty of information there to build an online drone services business around. I mean this site alone has so many promotional opportunities such as weddings, events, parties, business promotion and sales that if incorporated onto those above can potentially cover any need that someone might have for a drone.
There is also another interesting aspect to this site to do with the affiliate program which works a little like a MLM arrangement. If you are an affiliate and refer another affiliate to the site, then you earn commissions on the sales that they make as well.

Commission Rate: 20% on all custom drone packages and stock footage purchases.
Payment Terms: Monthly
Cookie Duration: Lifetime
Application required?: Yes – personal and website information required.
Marketing material provided: Banners, Text Links, coupon codes
10. ViFly

And finally, we have ViFly – which is all about drone racing. ViFly offer a small range of racing drones and accessories such as:
- Racing drones
- Batteries
- Beacons
- Finders
- Cam switchers

As I have said, this site is not large but it could certainly be useful for those within this niche or as an extra for any generalist drone site.
Commission Rate: 6%
Payment Terms: Monthly
Cookie Duration: 90 Day
Application required?: Yes, ViFly's affiliate program is managed by Share-A-Sale. You will be required to apply for an account then for the ViFly affiliate program. You will need to enter personal and website information as well as promotional plans and platforms to be used.

How to find your own affiliate programs
As stated earlier, by outlining the sites above I have really just tried to give you a good cross section of the types of programs that are out there by listing the really good ones in each ‘category'. That does not mean that you cannot find affiliate programs that better suit what it is that you are trying to do within this space – especially as I could never even begin to cover every drone related requirement or sub niche in the one post. Luckily for us, there is a simple way to find these programs online.
All you need to do is enter “affiliate: niche type” into your search engine (substituting ‘niche type‘ for whatever product it is that you are choosing to sell).

There are drone related affiliate programs for everything else that we have listed at the top of this page as well – you will just need to have a look around until you find one or two that suit your site. Once you have completed your searches, you can look through and find programs that:
- Relate to your niche/problems that you are solving.
- Have quality products – your brand can be severely damaged if you promote poor quality products.
- Have solid payment and customer service arrangement.
- Pay decent commissions.
- Have good testimonials covering commission payouts and quality of product.
In most cases, you will need to apply for the program before you are allowed to promote their products – don’t take this step lightly or you will be rejected. Affiliate programs will generally want to know:
- Your website name.
- Traffic levels.
- Why you want to join – (“so I can make money by selling your drones” is unfortunately not generally a good enough answer).
- How you plan to promote their products.
Conclusion
So… There are 10 of the best drone affiliate programs to work with this year. I hope it has been helpful for you as you commence your own drone based affiliate marketing business and as usual, please do not hesitate to comment below if you have any questions, need some advice or have any experiences to share. Oh, and especially comment if you have any experience with these, or any other programs as well.
Until next time
Have fun
Paul
Note: If you make a purchase from this page, there is a very good chance that I make a commission from it – these commissions do not increase your sale price.
