Hello there again my fellow sea changers. Throughout this site we have been looking into the world of online business creation in an effort to fund our sea change. Today I am going to discuss with you a slightly different aspect of online income generation with my Freedom Mentor Review.
This is a site that a friend of mine asked me about recently and I have to admit that I knew nothing about. It turns out after I looked onto it that it is all about real estate, which is not something I had covered much (if at all) on this site in the past. Hence, I thought I should check it all out and see if there is anything that may assist us in our online money making endeavours.
So, what is Freedom Mentor all about? Let's have a look below…
What is Freedom Mentor?
There is a bit to this, but in short, Freedom Mentor is an online course that assists those looking to invest in real estate. Self proclaimed as “the greatest real estate investing mentoring program ever created”, the platform is based on a unique process in that ‘apprentices' receive hands-on mentoring as they commence their real estate investment journey.
Once you sign up, and pay your $3000 joining fee, you are mentored through each step of the process including:
Any profits that are made from the deal in play are split 50/50 between the apprentice and Freedom Mentor which was founded, and is run by Phil Pustejovsky.
How does Freedom Mentor work?
From the start here, I have to be clear in regards to the fact that I have not actually joined this program so I am speaking only from the information that I can find on the website. However, the whole process appears to be quite simple in that once you enter some base details (name, email, phone number), you are then asked a series of questions to determine your ‘suitability' for the course.
Note: None of the reviews I have read highlighted any rejection based on this step.
From there, a sales call is scheduled to sell you into the program.
Please comment below if any of my information is inaccurate or you have experience as a user of this platform.
Then, once you are successfully sold into the program, you are then given one on one training and mentorship through your first real estate investment. The site as a whole however does contain some other information and tools as well so let's run through all of your options from the start.
Apart from the Apprentice Program (which we will discuss in more detail below), one of the main aspects of this platform is its free training and information. The first part of this is access to a free book called “How To Be A Real Estate Investor” (which sells for around $10 on Amazon). Incorporated with a video training series, it “shows you step by step, how to be a real estate investor, regardless of how much money you have, your credit rating or your experience level.”
The next step in the website is the free real estate investment course. This is a step by step online video course containing short snippets of information in regards to real estate investment broken into three sections:
- Intro – Getting Started
- Creative vs Traditional Real Estate Investing
- Buying Real Estate without Cash or Credit (UCF Lecture)
From what I can see in the blurb, the course centres around purchasing a house without using cash to credit and then flipping for a profit (sounds very similar to the Dean Graziosi method I think). Regardless, this is a process that has worked for many, however as with all investing, many don't make any money as well.
Note: Both the free book and free course require you to enter contact information to download. This means you WILL receive sales and promotional calls in regards to the Apprentice Program.
The Apprentice Program is the flagship product of the site and the reason it exists. As discussed above, the process in straight terms is quite simple:
- Join the program.
- Receive mentoring and training to undertake your first investment.
- Make money out of the process – which based on the information I can find on the website is all about purchasing a property without the need for cash or credit and then flipping for a profit.
- Walk away with 50% of the profit from the sale.
- Wash rinse repeat either within the Freedom Mentor program (for continued 50% profits) or on your own.
Now, as is common with these sorts of platform, I couldn't find any information on regards to costs on the website. I did however find them on a number of review posts (both positive and negative) with enough consistency to report them as follows:
- Pre Apprentice program – this is paid to take you through the onboarding stage – $997 (Fully-Refundable within 3 days should you decide the program is not for you).
- Apprentice Mentorship program – $3000 and then $197 a month. (Non-Refundable).
And, as stated earlier, whenever an apprentice manages to close a deal within this program, profits are split 50/50 between them and Freedom Mentor.
Note: I did read in a number of places that thresholds were in place for the 50/50 split in that it stopped once a $500k profit level was reached. I did see this as 100K elsewhere however so maybe just keep this in mind to ask in your sales call.
At a glance
Product Name: Freedom Mentor
Founder: Phil Pustejovsky
Product Type: Online Real Estate Investment Training and Mentoring Platform.
Price: $3997 total joining + $197 per month for full Apprentice Program
Best For: Anybody who wants to learn how to invest in real estate via the ‘no cash upfront then flip' model.
Recommended: If you are looking to get into real estate investment as per the above model, then based on the information I have seen, this program could work for you if you are willing to outlay the initial cost and split first profits 50/50.
Do I recommend it?
Look, I have seen these programs before and if you are willing to pay to join and follow the training then it can be a way to make some good money online. It must be kept in mind though (and backed up by some of the reviews) that you are not guaranteed of making any money at all and are at the whim of influences outside of your control.
I would definitely not call it a scam however from what I can tell, it is definitely one of those areas where more people don't make money than do. And finally, I have looked at this model in that past via others such as Dean Grasiosi and from what I can tell, due to regulatory processes in many countries, this process (i.e. purchase without cash or credit) is really only effective in the United States (again, please correct me if I am wrong in the comments below).
And there it is – my honest review of the Freedom Mentor program. I hope it has been helpful and as usual, please do not hesitate to comment below if you have any questions, need some advice or have any experiences to share.
