Hey guys and welcome back to another Make that Sea Change review. Today I am going to have a look at a new cloud based funnel building software platform called FunnelJoy. FunnelJoy is a complete sales funnel building program that gives you access to drag and drop editors to create any number of different funnel types that you may require for your website marketing needs. So, In an effort to provide you with as much information as I can within my FunnelJoy review and to find out if it is worth it, I will run you through:
- What it is
- How it works
- Pros and Cons
- Cost
- My recommendations
Is it worth if? – well, as a simple funnel building piece of software at a more cost effective price than its competitors it may just be. Please read on to see what I think…
Why do we need sales funnels?
In simple terms, a sales funnel is a set of webpages and tools designed to guide your visitors through your sales process. The number of steps within a sales funnel will differ based on the objective that you are trying to achieve such as:
- Introduce your product, site or business to new visitors.
- Build email lists.
- Push visitors to a purchase page.
- Provide access to free information.
- Push current customers to a high ticket purchase.
There are a number of theories and descriptions of the sales funnel process out there but a common, simple explanation and demonstration is as follows:
Step 1 – Awareness
This is the first page of your funnel and is simply a way to introduce yourself and build visitor awareness – I.E. Who are you and why should I click on your page? This step can be done in a number of ways such as:
- A keyword search
- Social media posts
- Online advertising
- Emails to current lists
Step 2- Interest
Once you have their eyes looking at your page or post, you need to peak their interest so that they will click on the link and enter the funnel. This may be an offer of free material, product or service in return for an email address or some other information. At this point, the reader is probably looking for the best value option and shopping around so your pages need to keep their interest for as long as possible or provide a means to access them at a later time with more information – such as via an email campaign.
Step 3 – Decision
Once the customer has ‘had a look around’ they will usually make their decision to purchase. If they are within your funnel you can then assist them with their decision by:
- Revisiting features and benefits
- Offering special deals or coupons
- Offering Upsells
- Offering post purchase specials such as extra training or followup products
Step 4 – Action
There is an old saying that you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. This is effectively the final part of the funnel. At this point you nee to provide simple and clear processes to allow the customer to purchase successfully such as Affiliate links, sales pages and access to support as required.
What is FunnelJoy?
FunnelJoy is online funnel building program that is marketed as a serious challenger to ClickFunnels. It allows you to build funnels via an array of drag and drop templates with the ability to publish and promote all in one place. Funnels can be built from scratch or using some of the inbuilt funnel templates including up-sell sales and lead generation funnels as well as sales platforms.
How does it work?
As above, FunnelJoy provides the ability to create webpages and funnels via pre-built templates and the drag and drop editor. Once each funnel has been created you can then:
- Add images, videos and sounds via inbuilt media or embed from other sites.
- Add webinar integration as required.
- Create or assign the pages to a domain.
- Publish the pages online.
- Send to integrated autoresponders for distribution to mailing lists etc.
What do you get?
At initial purchase of the FunnelJoy software, you get the following:
Upsells also include:
- Agency Rights – giving you the ability legally create and onsell funnels to clients
- OptinJoy – Optin form creator
- Pixelmodo – Graphic design program
- Membership sites
- Added templates each month

Do I recommend it?
I am a fan of sales funnels and if managed correctly, they can be of great advantage to your online business. For that reason, if you are someone with a working website and looking for a little extra funnely type capability then for the price I could not find a reason for not at least giving this one a try. Whilst it doesn’t have the free trial option of some of the its competitors – something that I hope they rectify soon – it does have a money back guarantee making it worth the try due to its much cheaper ongoing use costs.
The one thing that does worry me about this product however is the ambiguous wording around the functionality available within the initial purchase offer. There appears to be a lot of Upsells but as you can create a funnel through to publication within the initial offering then I think it would be ok.
How does it compare to my #1 Recommendation?
Sales funnels are a great asset to any business no doubt, but the one thing that a simple funnel platform is missing is an over-arching online business building educational program. And whilst these programs do contain the capabilities to build a complete, if not basic website, there are so many more aspects to building an online business such as SEO, plugin requirements and social media marketing that must be addressed. So if you are relatively new to the whole website building and online selling caper, then I recommend that you give Wealthy Affiliate a try.
Wealthy Affiliate is a comprehensive training, website building and hosting platform that will guide you through the entire online business building process, including sales management and SEO in an easy to follow but comprehensive manner. And best of all, you can join for free and get access to step by step tuition with the tools to develop and host your very own website, help to identify a good niche, 24/7 support and access to some of the best affiliate marketing minds on the planet. Note: If you make a purchase from this page, there is a very good chance that I make a commission from it – these commissions do not increase your sale price. I am not an affiliate of FunnelJoy.
Sales funnels have always intimidated me when I first started looking for ways to make money online. I even fell for a few scams that had this whole sales pitch.
Are sales funnels in general beginner-friendly? Or is this a tool best saved for someone who’s already an established marketer?
I guess I just always feel like I’m being pushy when dealing with sales funnels or even just sales in general. Is there a way to mentally minimize that feeling or am I always going to feel like I’m shoving things in people’s faces and telling them to buy it.
Hi Aria, I wouldn’t say that they are something that is just for estabished marketers but if you are new to the online business world then you probably would not need one unless a real need arose. Unless you have products you are selling that have upsells or bonus offers etc then I would steer clear for the moment.
That said, the right products such as Funneljoy or Click Funnels can be very user friendly for beginners if you have any idea of how you want to use them. And if set up correctly and are built around the premise of solving progblems they shouldn’t appear pushy – in fact if they do, then that can ususally be considered a red flag.

Hey Paul! I’ve known for some time that sales funnels are an important part of monetizing a website.
I’m wondering how soon I should be implementing this tool since I only got started with my blog a few months ago (20 published articles) and have minimal (that’s putting it mildly) traffic generation.
Should I wait to get more eyes on my website first, maybe even set up an email list for possible subscribers first, and then concentrate my efforts on sales funnels? It is an expense that I would have to make, and that’s ok. I’m just wondering if it is the way to go considering where I’m at with my website. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for a very informative article. Good work!
Hi Luis, Funnels are simply a path that you take people down in order to purchase or undertake a task that you would like them to take. If you have an affiliate website then you already effectively have funnels in action either via promoting links or email optins.
Specifically designed funnel sites however allow you to better manage this process for things like product purchase, upsells, One time offers and membership sites etc. I don;t think there is a realy time to talk about implementing these rather whether you have something that fits that category. Some people have affiliate marketing sites for years and never add a funnel. Others add after a week to promote a book or product that they have.
Hope this makes sense and answers your question.

Thanks for this thorough review of the Funneljoy Sale Funnel platform. I know Cindy (the vendor), she is a friend (through business), and this is one of her launches that I did not participate in (too many irons in the fire now). This one shows a lot of promise with all the features that you have listed that come with the platform.
There are so many competing platforms these days for sales funnel creation and hosting and it can be hard to determine which might be right for your business. This is an important aspect of online marketing for anyone that is selling physical or digital products these days. No matter the marketing niche, sales funnels can be useful.
Like you, I am not a big fan of upsells in general, but that is the trend and it is this way because it works. People who have already opened their wallet to pay for a front end product are an easier sell for another offer while you have them on your checkout page or in your sales funnel. I use them often but prefer upsells on the checkout page.
The cost of the front end Funneljoy product is very reasonable compared to Clickfunnels or similar platforms. As you say, if you can do with front end what you can do with Clickfunnels, this is a very good deal. The upsells are nice to have accessories or options that are not needed, but nonetheless, worth looking at likely. Thanks again, I will check this out…
Thanks Dave
Yes, I think she ould be onto something here.
