Before we begin however, I am conscious that there are a number of different areas or sub niches within this subject hence the quantity of affiliate programs to choose from may be just as large. So how have I picked my best 10? Well… I really just wanted to give you a good cross section of what is out there so I did some searching around and checked a few out and chose them by looking at:
- What they offer
- Commission rates
- Payment terms
- Cookie duration
- Application processes
- Affiliate/Marketing materials provided
Before we start however, let’s have a look at what I mean by the term ‘hair care’ and how it can be incorporated within an affiliate marketing website…
What do we mean by hair care?
Ok, so as the title suggests, for this post we are looking at everything to do with the art of looking after one’s hair such as products, electronics and medical interventions. And considering that there are 1000s of searches undertaken online per month for the term ‘hair care products’, I think it might just be something that could make a good little online business.
As I have mentioned above, there is quite a lot that we could look into when it comes to hair care so for this post, I have tried to cover a good cross section of hair care affiliate program options covering:
- Hair care products (shampoos, conditioners etc.)
- Hair repair and regrowth
- Electronic products
- Other tools
And of course anything else you can think of when it comes to selling hair care online… So, if you are looking to set up an online business in this space, let’s check them out below.
What can affiliate marketers promote?
There are essentially no real barriers to what affiliate marketers can promote when it comes to hair care. There are however some things to be aware of as you run your eye over hair product related affiliate program possibilities that may suit your site. These are:
- Know your audience, some are looking for specifics and want the best whilst others are hoping to just get their product on a budget. Choose your affiliate sites accordingly.
- Hair is one area where people really tend to not want to take risks so if they don’t trust you or your affiliate site, they will not purchase. Make sure the programs you choose are reputable and have good recourse options if the purchaser is not happy.
- Those purchasing for family members etc. will need to know exactly what they need and that the products you are promoting will fit in with their requirements. Make sure your programs can provide the products to back up the information that you are covering.

Created by L’Oreal, Hair.com provides “expert-approved hair advice and tutorials, recommendations, and inspo for their next salon appointment”. In terms of sales, the site also provides access to professional products such as:

- Hair styling products
- Hair treatments
This list by no means does the site justice however there is a massive range here that can be chosen via a number of options such as cut, colour and style.
The affiliate programs for this site is aimed at hair care professionals and salons however it would also work well with any site working with hair care and styling as well. There is also a massive blog and tuition section outlining suggested styles, cuts and hair care tips as well.

Grow Gorgeous is another massive hair care related site “created for women all over the world who desire fuller, thicker, longer hair” They also offer a great range of products – in fact, products to cover almost everything required to keep your hair clean, styled and everything in between. Again, there is so much there that we could not even begin to cover everything here but their main categories include:
- Hair Serums and Oils
- Shampoos
- Conditioners
- Masks and Treatments
- Discovery Kits
- Routines
- Overnight Hair Wraps
And as with the site above, these products can be chosen by a number of factors such as:
- Hair Density
- Curl Defining
- Scalp Care

Again as above, they also offer a massive array of blog posts, trend outlines and tutorials for everything you may need for your hair care needs. There is definitely enough here to build an affiliate marketing site around as well.

- and so much more.
This site could maybe be utilised to build a generalist business around as well as a great addition to the professional, curly hair and even children’s hair care niches as well.

There is probably not enough on this site to base an entire affiliate marketing site around however there are good add on options for both the home and professional user as well as those dealing with hair care in general .

This next site, Christophe Robin, takes us into another popular sub niche around hair colour. The site is massive with everything needed for pre and post colour and care such as:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Masks
- Leave-In
- Color Treatments
- Hair Brushes
- Men’s Products
This list really doesn’t do the site justice however if it is to do with hair colour, then it can be found here as well as hair care and rejuvenation products too.
There is maybe enough here to base an entire affiliate marketing business around alternatively their offerings would certainly be a great addition to any hair stylist or related site as well. And as with many of these types of sites, there is a great ‘hair advice’ section that can assist with extra information for your readers as well as post ideas for your site.

- The product is delivered with complete application instructions
They also offer a good range of generic, colour protecting hair care products such as shampoos, conditioners, cleansers and concealers. Oh, and they have mascara too.
This would make a great addition to any hair care site aimed at professionals and home users alike as well as a baseline for those looking to assist their readers with their daily colour needs.

Now let’s look at chemical free hair care options with EarthTone Naturals. Created by a Naturopathic Doctor, they look to “provide ingredients that are beneficial to the optimal care of the skin and curly and kinky hair without the addition of unnecessary and potentially harmful ingredients and chemicals”. This range includes:
- Cleansers
- Conditioners
- Moisturizers
- Stylers
- Accessories
- Scalp Care
- Body Care
Again, this list does not provide all the details however there is definitely something for everybody in each category. They also offer hair consultations and access to ‘Hair Parties’ as well
This is a great site for those working directly within the hair care niche or chemical free living type sites as well.

In short, they are hair clips that are designed to hold that hard to manage mane for men and women alike. They do however offer a range of other hair care implements too such as combs, brushes and styling tools as well as their ‘Laaayed’ range of hair gels and pomades
Obviously this site would work best as an add on to any hair care or styling related site especially as a great gift idea or for professional hair dressing niches. There is also a fantastic ‘how to’ blog allowing for some great post ideas and/or bonus information for your readers.

And finally we look into and extremely popular hair care and styling brand with ghd. As with the site above, their range is not massive however it is a well-known and popular brand with a number of variations of :
- Hair straighteners
- Hot brushes
- Hair dryers
- Hair curlers
- Hair brushes
- Heat styling products
If you are in the hair styling or care niches you would probably not be able to base an affiliate program on this one however there are obvious add on opportunities for all sprectrums of use levels and needs. And best of all they cost a bit more meaning higher commission opportunities as well.

Alternatively, should you wish to set up your site up with a range from a few different brands or companies on the same site then you can do so via Amazon. Amazon provides access to a good range of hair care related products and has a fairly good affiliate program as well. So if you wish, join the Amazon Associates program, locate the best products relevant to your site within Amazon itself and you can post links on your own site as per below:
Amazon’s commission rates are not too bad and some prefer this avenue due to the sheer amount of traffic and trustworthiness that comes with a company site of this size.
How to find your own affiliate programs
As stated earlier, by outlining the sites above I have really just tried to give you a good cross section of the types of programs that are out there by listing the really good ones in each ‘category’. That does not mean that you cannot find affiliate programs that better suit what it is that you are trying to do within this space especially as I could never even begin to cover every hair care related requirement or sub niche in the one post. Luckily for us, there is a simple way to find these programs online.
All you need to do is enter “affiliate: niche type” into your search engine (substituting ‘niche type‘ for whatever product it is that you are choosing to sell).
There are hair care related affiliate programs for everything else that we have listed at the top of this page as well – you will just need to have a look around until you find one or two that suit your site. Once you have completed your searches, you can look through and find programs that:
- Relate to your niche/problems that you are solving.
- Have quality products – your brand can be severely damaged if you promote poor quality products.
- Have solid payment and customer service arrangement.
- Pay decent commissions.
- Have good testimonials covering commission payouts and quality of product.
In most cases, you will need to apply for the program before you are allowed to promote their products – don’t take this step lightly or you will be rejected. Affiliate programs will generally want to know:
- Your website name.
- Traffic levels.
- Why you want to join – (so I can make money by selling your tripods is unfortunately not generally a good enough answer).
- How you plan to promote their products.
