Hey there fellow Sea Changers and welcome back. Those of you who have read any of my posts in the past may know that I am a strong believer in the fact that you can never have too much training – especially in the online world where software, algorithms, guidelines and processes are always changing. So today I am going to check out another platform I have come across and ask is Affilorama Affiliate Marketing Training any good?
This is a site I have seen quite a bit recently in my research for other posts and have found it quite useful. That on its own to me is enough to make it a good site so I have decided to check under the bonnet in a bit more detail. So today I will cover:
- What it is
- How it works
- Pros and Cons
- Cost
- My thoughts and recommendations
Is it any good? – yes, yes it is… Please read on to see what I think…
What is it?
Affilorama is an online training platform that is designed to assist you in creating an affiliate marketing business from scratch.
With the free access arrangement, you get access to:
Online training – Free
The online training ‘lesson' section consists of over 100 training modules and videos split into 8 categories.
The training categories include:
- Affiliate marketing basics.
- Market research.
- Content creation.
- Site building.
- Marketing ideas.
- SEO.
- PPC.
- Affiliate outsourcing.
Each module contains videos, extra documentation, examples, step by step demonstrations and transcripts running you through each required process. As you complete through each module, you are able to ask questions via the comments section at the bottom of the page or within the online forum.
The whole process is designed as a ‘run at your own pace' scenario where you can watch the videos, ask questions and go off and set up your own site – you will however need to source a website editor, domain name and hosting.
Roadmap for making money – Free
Another tool available for free is the Roadmap for Making Money e-book. It is essentially a 32-page overview of the training provided within the platform including:
- Affiliate marketing overview.
- Steps to build an affiliate marketing website.
- Tips for success and pitfalls to avoid.
- Picking a niche.
- Building a website.
- Email Marketing.
- Traffic and sales.
It is not comprehensive but is certainly a good guide to keep on your desk to refer back to when basic questions arise.
Affilotools – Free with upgrades
Affilotools is a cool little tool that is designed to assist you with the analysis and interrogation of your site performance, rankings and keyword use.
There is a great range of tools that you can utilise to see how you website is going and what you need to work on. These tools include:
- Search engine rankings reporting including geographically based results.
- Keyword ranking and research tool.
- Website health checks – speed, indexing and SEO.
- Social media activity results and monitoring (FaceBook and Twitter only).
- Clickbank earnings details.
With the free option, you are not restricted too much in functionality and the pricing plans to upgrade tend to give you the ability to add more data/websites to your tools. Pricing plans are as follows:
Affilojetpack – Not free
Ok, as with many of these program types, there is a paid option that you can upgrade to and in this case it is called Affilojetpack.
Affilojetpack is a complete done-for -you package that essentially give you a pre-built website, emails and opt in funnels to get you up and running quite quickly. It also contains 1 year free hosting and they will even assist you with niche selection. All in all, the AffiloJetpack includes:
- Website creation from Affilorama templates and 1 year free hosting.
- Email swipes and newsletters.
- Access to inbuilt autoresponder.
- Assistance with choosing a niche (from a preset list) and content templates to work from.
- Ongoing reporting and access to extra graphics and development tools.
Now, I have reviewed a few of these done-for-you packages in the past and they are always too good to be true. However, none of them appear to provide the background tools that this program does. The cost is $997 which is on the high side but to be honest, I could not find any ‘scam alerts' for this online – like anything there are some negative reviews – but nothing that would make me tell you to run away as fast as you can.

How much is it?

AffiloJetpack – $997
My thoughts
You know what? I like it. The training modules are light and easy to follow and the site does a great job in clearly outlining the requirements and processes of the subject being covered. The modules are well set out and I have learnt some stuff as well which is always handy. This is a well-known site so I would expect nothing different really but I have to say, I was not disappointed with the free content available.
Is it really free?
Absolutely it is. I had a really good look around and watched a lot of the training videos and not once was I asked to get out my credit card. The addition of the basic access to Affilotools is also a bonus in my opinion. Sure, there are some options for increased access within the AffiloTools (essentially input to more sites and search engines) and the AffilloJetpack is not cheap but I personally have no problem with this – after all – all sites need to make money right?
Any niggles?
I do have one minor concern with the AffiloJetpack option as I have not seen any done-for-you platforms that have been able to achieve anywhere near the results that they promise in terms of rankings and sales. The thing that does slightly alleviate this for me here however is that the pack does require you to still create content and keep working on your website rather than just simply copying and pasting like the others. I think that they maybe just need to be a bit clearer on the amount of time that could still be required ( this is the main negatives on the reviews that I saw) and that there was still work to do.
I will admit that I have not purchased this module due to not having the need so all I would say here is to do your homework a bit more before committing the $997 to join.
Do I recommend it?
You know what? As an advocate of the “you can never have too much training” school of thought, I would be totally contradicting myself if I did anything but recommend the free training and analysis tool aspects of this site. You could certainly do a lot worse than do the training here for free and then make some decisions in regards to the development and hosting of tour website from there.
How does it compare to my #1 Recommendation?
On face value, Affilorama is a well-rounded affiliate marketing training platform giving great, solid information and advice and a great way to supplement your own journey. If I am to compare to the platform that got me to where I am today, then there is probably a struck match between the training that affilorama provides, and what Wealthy Affiliate provides within their free starter membership. The difference here is in the fact that with Wealthy Affiliate, you also get 2 free websites and free hosting as part of the deal.
Note: In the comparison chart above I have not included Website hosting under the Affilorama column as this is only available within the AffiloJetpack and not under the free option.
What is Wealthy Affiliate?
Wealthy Affiliate is a comprehensive training, website building and hosting platform that will guide you through the entire online business building process, including Social media and SEO in an easy to follow but comprehensive manner. And best of all, you can join for free and get access to step by step tuition with the tools to develop and host your very own website, a free keyword search tool, help to identify a good niche, 24/7 support and access to some of the best affiliate marketing minds on the planet.
Conclusion
