Before we begin however, I am conscious that there are a number of different areas or sub niches within this subject hence the quantity of affiliate programs to choose from may be just as large. So how have I picked my best 10? Well… I really just wanted to give you a good cross section of what is out there so I did some searching around and checked a few out and chose them by looking at:

Before we start however, let's have a look at what I mean by the term ‘travel insurance' and how it can be incorporated within an affiliate marketing website…
What do we mean by Travel Insurance?
Most of us know insurance as that little bit of peace of mind when it comes to protecting ourselves and our valuables. And in this case we are discussing the protection of our travel. Granted this may be a little less appealing given current world events at time of writing, however once things pick up again then this will surely return to become a boom market.

Firstly it should be highlighted that legalities around the sale of insurance policies vary substantially from country to country or state to state. Secondly, by nature, the acquisition of an insurance policy can place users into a contracted arrangement in which policy payments must be made in accordance with contract outlines and inclusions.
So if you are looking at this from an affiliate marketing point of view, great care must be given as to whether you could be construed as giving actual financial or insurance advice or not as many countries also regulate those who are legally able to do so. With all that in mind then, the list of affiliate programs below is provided on a factual basis only and due diligence should be undertaken in regards to their jurisdictional legalities prior to applying. There is definitely enough on this site to base any general travel insurance related affiliate business upon or as an add on within any mainstream travel, adventure or business site as well.

Next is RoamRight, an online based discount travel insurance site with a number of customisable policies that can include:

- Rental Car Excesses etc.
Policy holders can choose their required level of coverage based on the country being visited and the activities they plan to undertake. There is also an app that allows them to manage and claim whilst on the road.
There is probably not enough here to base an entire travel insurance based affiliate marketing business around however their offerings would certainly be a great addition to any insurance or travel related niche. And as with most travel related insurance sites, RoamRight offers a range of tools and information benefits such as travel advice, destination information and a decent blog as well.

- Trip delay and cancellation
- Health insurance for unexpected illness
And again as with many others here, this site also offers a number of other options including:

There is maybe enough to build an affiliate marketing business around if you are dealing with avid or long term travelers however it would be a great companion/add on to just about any insurance, travel/backpacking or even professional travel blogger related site possible.

Users simply complete the form outlining their requirements and the platform provides the best quotes based on details entered.
This site would definitely make a great baseline for any travel insurance based affiliate business or again, as an add on to any travel related site or other insurance options as well.

This would make a great addition to any travel insurance affiliate site or as usual, a decent side link to anybody looking to add to their travel related niches as well.

How to find your own affiliate programs
As stated earlier, by outlining the sites above I have really just tried to give you a good cross section of the types of programs that are out there by listing the really good ones in each ‘category'. That does not mean that you cannot find affiliate programs that better suit what it is that you are trying to do within this space especially as I could never even begin to cover every travel insurance related requirement or sub niche in the one post. Luckily for us, there is a simple way to find these programs online.
All you need to do is enter “affiliate: niche type” into your search engine (substituting ‘niche type‘ for whatever product it is that you are choosing to sell).
There are insurance affiliate programs for everything else that we have listed at the top of this page as well – you will just need to have a look around until you find one or two that suit your site. Once you have completed your searches, you can look through and find programs that:
- Relate to your niche/problems that you are solving.
- Have quality products – your brand can be severely damaged if you promote poor quality or untrustworthy products.
- Have solid payment and customer service arrangement.
- Pay decent commissions.
- Have good testimonials covering commission payouts and quality of product.
In most cases, you will need to apply for the program before you are allowed to promote their products – don’t take this step lightly or you will be rejected. Affiliate programs will generally want to know:
- Your website name.
- Traffic levels.
- Why you want to join – (so I can make money by selling your insurance stuff is unfortunately not generally a good enough answer).
- How you plan to promote their products.
