Hello there my fellow sea changers – Today I am going check out another training/”done-for-you” site and ask what is 12 minute affiliate? As many of you probably know, that when it comes to building a successful online business I am not a believer in anything that claims to make you fast money, get instant rankings or gives you access to the systems that make a fortune but “no-one knows about”. So when I see a site that appears to embody all of these things in the title and first line of the sales pitch alone, I get a little skeptical.

And to be honest, I don’t normally like writing reviews on programs like this as I am really trying to find us things that will actually assist us in our online journey. However, once I did some investigation I found that there were indeed some reviews that were positive – and did not appear to be written purely for affiliate income – so, as usual, I decided to check it out (it helps of course that it is only $10 to join). So, for this review, I will run you through:

• What it is
• How it works
• Pros and Cons
• Cost
• My recommendations

Can it make you $460 a day? – Look, absolutely I think it could – in time and with quite a bit of upfront cost. The affiliate marketing strategies here definitely centre around the numbers game of sending links to as many people as you can and seeing how many will actually purchase. It is affiliate marketing, but at the extreme end and I feel that the return on investment (ROI) may take quite a bit of time to deliver a positive.

The main issue that seems to follow a lot of programs like this is that the sales page makes me want to run a mile before I get to the purchase stage. This is due to my usual red flags including:

• Long sales video with lots of words and sales pitches but no actual real person.
• Fake testimonials – Yep, I found some of the same people on Fiverr.com who are obviously reading their success stories and the benefits of the program.
• Over inflated income promises.
• The motivator that if I don’t sign up now that I could miss out or pay 3 times more to access.

To be honest, the only reason I didn’t turn this off and walk away at this point was that I wanted to review it. So let’s continue on…

What is 12 Minute Affiliate?

12 Minute Affiliate describes itself as “an affiliate marketing system with built in funnels to help its members promote affiliate products”. And to start making money within the first few days, all you need to so is:

1. Join the system – i.e. pay your access fee
2. Activate your system
3. Order website visitors to your system

Essentially, it is an email and funnel based affiliate marketing program where you are sending pre-built product funnels to paid traffic in order to build email lists.

Oh, and why is it called 12 Minute Affiliate? Well, you are supposed to be able to set it up and have it targeting commissions in just 12 minutes… Can it be done? If you knew exactly what you were doing and didn’t change anything then possibly… for everyone else… no.

How does it work?

Once you have your access privileges, the 12 Minute Affiliate program guides you through the steps required to complete the process and start earning commissions. It breaks it down into 3 main processes (some with a few steps).

Let’s run through these now:

Step #1 – Personalize the System.

To do this, you are directed to the quick start checklist.

This is basically where you set up all of the information you will need to get your email traffic moving. This system is quite intuitive and seems simple enough to follow. But beware, this is also where some of the extra cost requirements come into play. And I am also starting to wonder at this point just how a ‘newbie’ would really go at this. I mean I like to think that I have quite a good understanding of all this but I did have to think about some things – especially when it comes to some of the setup requirements. Anyway, this is what you need to do:

1. Select your niche – the options are Home Business, Weightloss and Self Development – you can only go with one of these on the basic membership (hence the 3x your results upsell).
2. Create your clickbank account – this is free and how your commissions will be paid.
3. Create your autoresponder account – for this you need Aweber (more integration are apparently coming but this is it for the moment). This does cost money (minimum $19 per month after 30 day trial) and despite the sales pitch you will need more than a basic understanding of how to set up and use Aweber Lists and email campaigns.
4. Activate your funnels – this will link the pre-built niche funnels to your Aweber email list IDs that you have created.

There is also an option to have the last step done for you for an extra cost of $67.

Step #2 – Order your traffic

Once you have your links and funnels set up then you need to throw them at some traffic – or at least attract traffic to them.

Here you have two options.

1. Purchase traffic

2. Add the funnels to any email lists you currently have.

If you are purchasing traffic, you are essentially purchasing the direction of internet users to your funnel URLs – usually the first page of the pre-built funnel. The traffic is another cost of operation here – from $192 for 90 – 100 visitors up to $3840 for 1800 – 2000.

Note: Buying traffic usually entails the cost of someone adding your links or banners to paid advertising campaigns such as Google Adsense or Social media ads etc.

If you are using an email list that you already have, then you may skip this step and simply add the links to your email campaign – there are swipe files available to assist you with this as well.

Step #3 – Collect your commissions

Yep, that is it. Set up your accounts and autoresponders, purchase some traffic and once they click on your links, then purchase, your commissions will start rolling in.

What else do you get?

Within the program, there is a resources section that provides:

• Access to some training videos
• Customised funnel creator – niche related only – this is a nice tool!
• Email swipes for selling other products or on another autoresponder – these are ok too!
• Business coaching downloads.
• Most popular product lists – from Clickbank only.

Do I recommend it?

You know what? I don’t know. From my experience there are two types of affiliate marketers out there. The first – which I consider myself to be – work on the long game where they build sites of value that solve problems for the reader regardless of whether they make a purchase. The second are those that run it as a numbers game where you try and get as many affiliate links in front of as many people as possible and hope that enough are motivated to purchase. The 12 Minute Affiliate program is definitely aimed at the latter.

From my own personal affiliate marketing ethos, I would avoid this one as I am building a brand. But if I am being honest for those who run the numbers game then this is really one of the better programs I have seen. The system appears to be well-built, has good integration and if you are willing to put a bit of time and cash towards it then I can see if working for you. My only real concerns from this perspective are that you will need to spend some cash in regards to monthly subscriptions and buying traffic to get it up and running properly. Added to that is the fact that buying paid traffic is expensive and definitely a hit-and-miss scenario. It will also not provide high commissions as quickly as it states.

I also don’t see this as a real good program for beginners as managing Aweber itself is not as simple as it is made out to be if you are a newbie and you definitely need a base understanding of funnels and their use. But that said, if it wasn’t going to cost me $47 per month I could see some use in the automation tools that might allow me to add some funnels to my current site and email lists. In fact, as a funnel creator within those three niches it is a very good tool.

How does it compare to my #1 Recommendation?

Look, as I have said, if you are a numbers based affiliate marketer then I have to say that you could do a lot worse than this product – you will need some cash to get started and will have to work to get a good ROI but the tools and theory look sound. I have marked it as not recommended below simply because for me, it is not the type of affiliate marketer that I recommend someone new to the market be ….
