Hey there sea changers, and welcome back to my series of MLM reviews. Today I am going to check out a program within an interesting and popular market with my Pruvit Keto MLM Review. If I am being honest, I always thought that Keto (or ketogenics), like so many other diet ‘fads', would simply fade away (pardon the pun haha) but after a good number of years, it still attracts more than 200,000 online searches per month so it appears it might be here to stay. I am familiar with Keto from an affiliate marketing point of view but until now had not really ventured into the Keto MLM world before. So, what is Pruvit Ketos MLM Program all about? Let's check it out…
Note: I am not a member of the Pruvit MLM Program (and hence make no commissions from any of the links included within this post). The reason for this is that I prefer to write these posts based on what a newbie would be seeing if they were interested in joining – that way I feel I can make a better judgement on what it is that these companies are offering within their programs.
What is MLM?
Multi-level marketing (MLM) programs are the mainstay of the ‘party plan' world of products such as Tupperware, Mary Kay and Amway etc. and, recently, becoming more and more prevalent within the ketogenics market. One of the reasons for this is that much of the sales and marketing for MLMs is now being managed online – alleviating the need to run parties – and, more importantly, not hassle everybody you know to join (you can of course, but you don't have to).
The ‘multi level' aspects of MLM come from its hierarchical nature in which you make commissions based not only on those that you sell to, but also the sales of those whom you ‘sign' into membership arrangements as well.
In short, the process works as follows:
- You join the program, either via referral from another person (known as your up line) or directly through their website.
- You promote the products of the company via parties, workshops or online.
- As you make sales, you offer incentives to your customers to sign up as a member of the program (there are different names for this but they all mean the same thing).
- That new member is then placed ‘underneath' you in a hierarchical arrangement (known as your down line).
- You, and a number of levels of your up line, then gain extra commissions for everything they sell as well.
- If they manage to refer their customers into memberships, they also become a member of your down line allowing you to make up line commissions as well.
The number of levels of your up and down lines will vary depending on the program you have joined. Commission rates will also change as your down line grows or contracts and many will also offer other incentives such as total company sales percentages and/or access to membership prizes as your own business grows.

MLM Program outline
The Pruvit MLM program calls their members Promoters and from first look, appears to be a fairly stock standard program and commission structure. As with many companies that offer MLM opportunities, their website and processes are setup to drive their network marketing business however they outline that they have set it all up to be more efficient with less overhead meaning that they can pay out more commissions. Let check out the basics and see if this is in fact the case…
Discount for members: 22% (if set up on smart ship only)
Base Commission rate: Up to 40% for new downline members
Down line commission rates: 1% – 5% to 1 levels (1st generation (down line level 1) rates 5%).
Minimum monthly spend to qualify for commissions
- Ambassadors are required to maintain 50 PQV per month (see below) – this can however be made up of personal or customer orders.
Payment terms: Weekly and monthly.
Application required?: Yes, personal and payment information at time of first purchase
Purchase requirements to join: Yes
- Membership joining cost $37 per annum.
- New members can then also choose a starter pack or a single product to meet their 50PQV requirement to qualify for commissions – starter kits range from $396 – $1499.
Marketing materials provided: Not really stated apart from a tracking back office and ‘ongoing support'.
As with the bigger programs, downline commissions and rankings are determined by the total Personal Qualifying Volume (PQV) that you and your downline generate in a calendar month. To qualify for downline commissions within Pruvit, you will need to generate a minimum 50 PQV points worth of product monthly (roughly USD$187) – this can be made up of personal or customer orders.
Most MLM programs manage it this way in that commissions are paid on the points assigned to a product rather than the entire sales total. For example, if a product retails for $100 and has a 50PV rating (these generally vary from product to product) then the commission is calculated on the $50 purchase only. So if a commission rate for a product is 20% then it will generate a $10 payment to the sponsor (i.e. 20% of the $50 commissionable amount). Clear as mud? Hopefully this will become a little clearer as we run through the payment methods.
That's right! Wealthy Affiliate provided me with all of the tools and training I needed to get this post in front of my audience - a.k.a YOU! You too can start your very own online business here that can make you money from anywhere in the world!!
How can I get paid?
The Prüformance Rewards Gameplan promotes 10 ways in which you can make money when you promote and sell their products plus quite a few bonus options. These are quite standard for a MLM program with commissions on par with many others I have seen and split into three levels:
- Kick off promotions – Fast start programs for new entrants
- Game play rewards – Extra bonuses for fast recruitment of active promoters
- Residual rewards – Traditional MLM commission structures and payments
Let's check them out…
Go Pro Bonus
The Go Pro Bonus is the first of the Kick Off Promotions designed to give Promoters a jump start into the program and make some good earnings from the outset. This bonus pays a 40% commission on all downline purchases if the promoter meets the following criteria:
- Sign at least 2 customers
- Accumulate at least 1000PV in your downline
- Accumulate 800 PQV from personal and customer purchases within your first 14 days.
Go MVP Bonus
The Go MVP Bonus is an extension of the Go Pro Bonus above where bonuses are extended if the following can be achieved within the first 30 days:
- Sign at least 4 new customers
- Accumulate at least 2000TV in your downline
- Accumulate 1600 PQV from personal and customer purchases within your first 30 days.
Bonus structure for both the Go Pro and Go MVP bonuses are as follows:
MVP Mentor Bonus
The MVP Mentor Bonus is the first payment option within the Gameplay Rewards section of the program. This bonus is however an extension of the kick off promotions in that bonuses are paid for every MVP (promoters who achieve the Go MVP Bonus) that a promoter can nurture within their downline.
Go All Star Bonus
The Go All Star Bonus is an extension of the MVP Mentor Bonus in that extra bonuses are paid for those promoters who can develop 5 MVPs within 120 days following the start of the Go Challenge.
Payment amounts for the MVP Mentor and Go All Star Bonuses are as follows:
Go Fast Bonus
This is another option designed to entice early sales from new promoters within your down line by paying a weekly bonus that pays on all commissionable orders placed during their first 30 days.
There are a number of option for qualification such as number of customers enrolled or achievement of Kickoff Promotions as covered within the table above.
Retailer Bonus
The Retailer Bonus is a percentage commission paid on the Bonus Value (BV) of the sale of products made by those you have personally enrolled. Payments are dependent upon the number of customers you have within your sown line.
Endorsement Bonus
The Endorsement Bonus is designed to reward those that attract new customers that just purchase and don't become promoters. This bonus is paid in free products to those who personally refer two customers who setup smartship (monthly order) accounts.
Residual Commission
Residual Commissions are the first rung of the Residual Rewards portion of the program. These are the traditional unilevel commissions where payments are made on the total BV of your downline based on your rank. Commission rates are as follows:
To qualify, Promoters must maintain the PQV required for their rank (see below).
Champion Bonus
The Champions Bonus works in addition to the Residual commission in that it pays extra commissions based on the PV from unlimited levels of Promoters one to five generations deep within the down line legs. These are paid as follows:
Residual Match
A common bonus offered within many MLMs is the Residual Match. Commissions are paid as a percentage of those earned by those in the down line who contribute to the Group Volume of the promoter. This is outlined as follows:
Ranking structure
As you have probably noticed, the commissions and bonuses paid out above are reliant upon the ‘rank' that you are assigned within the Pruvit affiliate program. This ranking structure is quite straight forward with commission qualifications rising based on your total monthly PQV, the number of underlings you have within your down line and of course, how much they sell/purchase in a calendar month. Rank requirements are as follows:
As with most programs, rankings are determined by the total Group Sales Volume that you and your downline generate in a calendar month. As your downline grows, your commission rates increase as outlined earlier within this post.
What else do you get?
On top of the potential earning methods outlined above, Pruvit also offers a couple of bonus plans for those who achieve higher rankings within the program. These include:
Champion Car Bonus
Once Ambassadors reach and maintain a rank of 6 or higher and maintain it for a month, they become eligible to receive a loan or lease payment towards a Car Bonus Payment of $800. This payment is then made ongoing for every month that a rank 6 or higher is maintained.
Note: Payment is for lease or loan amount only up to $800.
MVP Pool
For those promoters that have earned the GO MVP Bonus (outlined earlier) the MVP pool will payout a bonus of 0.5% of the total company wide commissionable sales volume within that last calendar month.
Rising Champion Pool
For any promoter that achieves a status of MVP, they also qualify for a payout of 0.5% of company wide New Volume (NV) during the calendar month.
This payment is paid for three months only.
Ownership Pools R7 – R10
Another common payment bonus within MLM programs is the Ownership Pool. Promoters ranked at L7, L8, L9 and L10 qualify for monthly revenue sharing of 1% or the total company generated sales volume.
What is good about it?
So, after a good look around the site and looking at all the options I could find, I do like the following:
- Commission rates for entry level sales are fairly good.
- Most information in regards to their MLM program is comprehensive and easy to find.
- They have a very large range of commission and bonus earning options.
What is no so good about it?
There are also some things to be aware of including:
- BV calculation is a little higher than other programs – most run at USD$1 per PV point – Pruvit is around USD$1.80.
- Entry level costs are quite high.
- There is a great onus placed on promoters to recruit and make sales as soon as they join.
How much can you make?
Pruvit does not provide any income average income tables for its program. As with most MLM programs however, the percentage of members making the upper rank levels is very low. Below is an income statement from within the Pruvit documentation.
My final thoughts
Look, MLM is not an easy platform to make money in. That said, the Pruvit program does seems to be on par with most others I have seen with ample opportunity to earn if you can attract and nurture a down line. There is plenty of information available in regards to the commission and bonus structure so if you are passionate about Keto and like this brand, then to be honest I cannot see much in there that would cause me to earn you off.
The only consideration I see is that the program is very heavily geared towards those that join and are able to make sales very quickly – some within 48 hours. They certainly reward you for this with numerous bonus and high commission options but ongoing commission amounts are quite low meaning that if you do not have a ready-made customer base to interrogate, then it may take a fair while before you make any decent money from this program.
As with many others, you do not necessarily need to make monthly purchases yourself to qualify for commissions however if you cannot make the required PV for your rank from your customer base, then you may need to top up the payments yourself which can be very difficult if you are starting out and not meeting the fast start requirements. In addition to that, some of the bonuses operate on the proviso that you are making purchases and to be honest, if you are going to succeed in any MLM program, you need intricate knowledge of the product meaning you will generally need to make purchases. This is why some tend to move towards affiliate marketing at the beginning before moving into MLM at a later time.
I was unable to locate any negative reviews in terms of non-payments or customer service for this site however there was some information in regards to the history of the founders and executive staff around their involvement in quite a few MLM programs that have folded in the past. There are some negative comments about the MLM program and products as well – although it was not really anything that is uncommon in regards to MLM and Keto programs.
Conclusion
So there you have it, my honest review and appraisal of the Pruvit MLM program. I hope it has been of assistance but as usual, if you have any questions or experience with this program please do not hesitate to reach out by commenting below – especially if any of my information is inaccurate.
