Hey there fellow sea changers and welcome back to my series of training platform reviews with my Taking Action Online review. As you may be aware, I am an avid believer in all things training so am continuously looking for platforms that I feel may, or may not, give you access to high quality content to assist you with your affiliate marketing journey.
With a mission to “empower budding marketers at the onset of their journey”, Taking Action Online is a web based affiliate marketing training platform that promotes an action plan “designed to build your foundations fast, really fast!“.
The promising part here is that there is quite a bit of content available for the princely sum of just $1. So, as I tend to do, I have had a look, a play and read some reviews in an effort to find out if Taking Action Online really is any good or if it is only $1 for a reason. Today I will cover:

So, before we continue, is it any good? – yes, yes it is… Please read on to see what I think…
What is it?
Taking Action Online (TAO) is an online training platform that is designed to assist you in creating an online affiliate marketing business from scratch. Once I log in with my $1 access arrangement, I am presented with the Action Plan page. This is a menu page that contains access to 8 training courses that contain between 4 and 11 lessons each containing approximately 2 – 3 hours worth of training.
Each module contains videos, extra documentation and notes taking you through all aspects of setting up an affiliate marketing business. All videos feature very heavily on the premise of the actual course heading – taking action online.
Phillip, the instructor, often revisits the fact that you need to take action and actually ‘do stuff' go achieve success. Most modules also contain a bonus “regrouping' video' in which Philip will explain to you some of the issues and barriers you might face and that you need to keep working through them to achieve success.
Foundation
The next section (or actually the first on the menu is foundation training which is another series of 7 videos that cover the “Foundations Of A Profitable Business” covering everything to do with the platform including:

Now, even though the platform takes you to the Action Plan page first, I gather from the videos that you start here.
Marketing Academy
Once you have finished the Action plan training, you can progress to the next stage which starts to build on your new site as you grow your online business.
Each module follows the same processes as the Action plan training with videos, downloads and tutorials and set out to be completed over 180 days. This is included with your $1 membership.
Standalone Courses
As with most free (or $1) training platforms, there is a members area that is accessed via a monthly subscription.
If you select the “standalone courses” from the course menu, you are taken to a sales funnel that give you access to further training.
Note: There is also a comment in regards to premium paying members on this page. I could not however find anywhere in the site to join as a premium member.
At a glance

Recommended: This is quite a good training site. Philip provides great and comprehensive training and doesn't hide the realities of the business and how much work is involved. I recommend it as some great supplemental training for any new marketer.

How much is it?
Base training – $1 (there was one upsell on the sales page for an extra course – to be honest I cannot remember what it was – for $14.99). I did however get a free YouTube course with my purchase.
Premium Membership – there is mention of a premium membership but I was unable to locate it on the site.
Taking Action Online Review: My thoughts
I have to say that this is one of the better free training sites that I have come across. The training modules are light and easy to follow and Philip does a great job in keeping the videos personable and interesting. The modules are well set out and I like that he doesn't sugar coat the work that is required. I have even learnt some stuff as well which is always handy.
The site is well set out and easy to use and for those looking for some real world training in the make money online field, then for $1, you could do a real lot worse than this one!
Do I recommend it?
As a training platform, I think it is really good and absolutely recommend it to any new affiliate marketer who wants to know a little more about the business and maybe start their own business. There is nothing new here that is not covered elsewhere but for $1, you could certainly do a lot worse than watch Philip's videos, take some notes and see if it could work for you.
I haven't accessed the paid courses section but in terms of free access to top quality training, then go for it.
How does it compare to my #1 Recommendation?
On face value, Taking Action Online is a well-rounded affiliate marketing training platform giving great, solid information and advice and a great way to supplement your own journey. In comparison to my recommended platform – Wealthy Affiliate, the only real downfall is the lack of website creation and hosting tools included.
There are links to them but you must purchase them if you wish to work along with the training. So if you are completely new to the whole website building and online selling caper and are not sure how to create and host a website, then I recommend that you give Wealthy Affiliate a try.
Conclusion
