Stats show that people will spend money on protecting their homes online if it can make their lives easier so as long as you are meeting their needs and solving problems, then you are on the right track. And to give you a boost, let's have a look at 10 programs that I have found below:

1. Brinks Home Security

Brinks Home is part of the worldwide Brinks security conglomerate well-known for its security services around company and financial protection. Its home security arm however contains a comprehensive range of home security products and monitoring services that includes:

• Cameras, Control locks, cameras, lights, thermostats, floor sensors and more.
• Home security app allowing personal home monitoring and control.
• Professional monitoring service sending alerts to your smartphone and calling directly to your home.
• Home security patrol services.

The thing to keep in mind with this one is that unlike other home security systems affiliate programs, their partner program is not a clean affiliate commission arrangement as such. It is more aimed at those who are looking to partner with them to sell their products as an agent, dealer or authorized representative.

Our next site is Revo America, an all encompassing home security site that deals with everything to do with cameras and monitoring. They really do have everything to do with home security in the one spot with way too much to list here but their main categories include:

• Monitoring App

This list really doesn't do the site justice but there is really is so much here. Their cameras can also be chosen with a number of functions including optical zoom, wide lens, night vision and weather and vandal proof protection.

This site could definitely be utilised to build a generalist home security business around or as a great addition to the professional services, home management and corporate security niches as well.

Whilst not one that focuses directly on home security, Smarthome incorporates a great range of these types of products within its ‘smart' products catalogue. These include:

There really is so much more that I could keep listing for quite a while – but you get the picture. This is in addition to their other smart product ranges including:

This site is definitely one that you would build an entire affiliate marketing business around or as a great companion/add on to just about any home, electronics, corporate management or hobby related niche possible – and maybe even for those dealing with home renovations as well.

Reolink is another nice little site specialising in smart-home products and hi-end security solutions with a range of ‘”budget friendly” security product for both the home and business including:

They also offer a small range of accessories such as cables, brackets, antennas etc.

There is maybe enough here to base an entire affiliate marketing business around however their offerings would certainly be a great addition to any security, home or business security related niche. There is also a blog to assist you with post ideas and reviews and well as extra information for your readers.

Guardline is smaller home security site offering a number of wireless driveway alarms. These are outdoor motion detectors that sound an alarm whenever a person, vehicle or anything else passes by it to enter the property, gate or even workshop etc.

There is not enough here to base an affiliate marketing business on however it would make a great addition to any site based on home security, large property management, survivalist or crime prevention. There is also a great security blog and ‘how to' page providing for some extra information for your readers or post ideas for yourself.

Now we move from the electronic side of security and into physical home protection with Armor Concepts. The sales blurb here is that “unlike alarm systems, our products are designed to keep intruders out.” Their products then are a range of solidified doors and door armour to stop burglaries, vandalism and home invasions for use in areas such as:

• Exterior
• Mobile homes
• Sliding glass doors

They also offer a number of other protective options such as weather strips, door shields and latch protectors as well.

This is a great site for those working directly in the home security niche or within the home renovation, personal security (elderly, singles etc.) or even survivalist areas as well.

Hippo is one of a large number of options in this space (if you are in the insurance niche) however I have included it here as an example of another method of home security which is insurance. Hippo provides a nice range of insurance options for the homeowner as protection against burglary, invitation or vandalism. Their modern premiums are designed to accompany modern security implementations such as complimentary smart home monitoring and virtual home maintenance services.

Obviously this site would work best as an add on to any home security related site especially as a great side option or for within the insurance niches. There is also a fantastic blog allowing for some great post ideas and/or bonus information for your readers.

If you are in the general home security niche you would probably not be able to base an affiliate program on this one however there are obvious add on opportunities for all use levels and needs within this area. And as with most sites within this niche there is a great blog with access to security tips, tricks and recommendations.

Amazon Associates

Alternatively, should you wish to set up your site up with a range from a few different brands or companies on the same site then you can do so via Amazon. Amazon provides access to a good range of home security related products and has a fairly good affiliate program as well. So if you wish, join the Amazon Associates program, locate the best products relevant to your site within Amazon itself and you can post links on your own site as well.

Amazon's commission rates are not too bad and some prefer this avenue due to the sheer amount of traffic and trustworthiness that comes with a company site of this size.

How to find your own affiliate programs

As stated earlier, by outlining the sites above I have really just tried to give you a good cross section of the types of programs that are out there by listing the really good ones in each ‘category'. That does not mean that you cannot find affiliate programs that better suit what it is that you are trying to do within this space especially as I could never even begin to cover every home security related requirement or sub niche in the one post. Luckily for us, there is a simple way to find these programs online.

All you need to do is enter “affiliate: niche type” into your search engine (substituting ‘niche type‘ for whatever product it is that you are choosing to sell).

There are home security related affiliate programs for everything else that we have listed at the top of this page as well – you will just need to have a look around until you find one or two that suit your site. Once you have completed your searches, you can look through and find programs that:

• Relate to your niche/problems that you are solving.
• Have quality products – your brand can be severely damaged if you promote poor quality products.
• Have solid payment and customer service arrangement.
• Pay decent commissions.
• Have good testimonials covering commission payouts and quality of product.

In most cases, you will need to apply for the program before you are allowed to promote their products – don’t take this step lightly or you will be rejected. Affiliate programs will generally want to know:

• Your website name.
• Traffic levels.
• Why you want to join – (so I can make money by selling your sensor cameras is unfortunately not generally a good enough answer).
• How you plan to promote their products.
