Hey there Sea Changers… Welcome to my post outlining 13 Tea MLM Business Opportunities that I have discovered in my research travels. Recently I have been looking into the world of Multi Level Marketing (a.k.a Network Marketing) to see if there are some online business opportunities there.
And whilst I have been focused on the more traditional areas of this industry such as Essential Oils, Supplements and CBD Products, I have also noticed an increase in MLM Companies that are including tea as part of their stock portfolios. So, in order to make things a little easier for those of you interested in checking this out, I have created an outline below of some of the tea related MLM business opportunities I have found in my travels.
Now, before we start, most of these companies do not deal with tea alone, rather as a part of a larger range of offerings mainly around supplements, weight loss and/or a particular plant or science. All I have done here then is to include any site that has tea to sell as well. So for those who are looking to get into the MLM world based on their passion for these little dried leaves of goodness, let's get on with it and check them out…
What is MLM?
Multi-level marketing (MLM) programs are the traditional mainstay of the ‘party plan’ world of products such as Tupperware, Mary Kay and Amway etc. and, of course within the beauty/cosmetics, supplements and essential oils markets. These programs have become more popular in recent times – mainly due to the fact that much of the sales and marketing is now being managed online – with companies in other niches (such as tea) are starting to get in on the action.
That's right! Wealthy Affiliate provided me with all of the tools and training I needed to get this post in front of my audience - a.k.a YOU!
You too can start your very own online business here that can make you money from anywhere in the world!!
The ‘multi level’ aspects of MLM come from its hierarchical nature in which you make commissions based not only on those that you sell to, but also the sales of those whom you ‘sign’ into membership arrangements as well.
In short, the process works as follows:
- You join the program, either via referral from another person (known as your up line) or directly through their website.
- You promote the products of the company via parties, workshops or online.
- As you make sales, you offer incentives to your customers to sign up as a member of the program (there are different names for this but they all mean the same thing).
- That new member is then placed ‘underneath’ you in a hierarchical arrangement (known as your down line).
- You, and a number of levels of your up line, then gain extra commissions for everything they sell as well.
- If they manage to refer their customers into memberships, they also become a member of your down line allowing you to make up line commissions as well.
The number of levels of your up and down lines will vary depending on the program you have joined. Commission rates will also change as your down line grows or contracts and many will also offer other incentives such as total company sales percentages and/or access to membership prizes as your own business grows.
How do they calculate commissions?
When it comes to the earning of money via MLM, most programs manage their downline commissions and rankings via the calculation of Personal Volume (PV) points (there are different definitions of this such as Commission, Business or Group Volume but they all mean the same thing). Most MLM programs manage it this way in that commissions are paid on the points assigned to a product rather than the entire sales total.
For example, if a product retails for $100 and has a 50PV rating (these generally vary from product to product and on retail or wholesale prices) then the commission is calculated on the $50 purchase only. So if a commission rate for a product is 20% then it will generate a $10 payment to the sponsor (i.e. 20% of the $50 commissionable amount).
PV calculations can range from 1 point per $1 up to 1 per $1.50 or even $2. Obviously the closer to the dollar mark the calculation the better. In addition, most programs assign minimum PV sales per month – either personally or via customer sales – in order to qualify for commissions. Payments and rankings are then also calculated based on the total PV of the member, and their downline.
Tea MLM Companies
Ok, let’s have a look at some of the direct sales tea companies I have been checking out (in no particular order)…
Vida Divina
Vida Divida was founded in 2016 by Armand Puyolt and Esther Romos who, with extensive backgrounds and success within Network Marketing companies, wanted to “provide a solid vehicle for home-based entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams”. The company is based in Ontario, California and runs with the motto #LeadWithLove.
Their catalogue offers a small to medium range of products aimed mainly at the detox and weight loss markets as well as a couple of cosmetics options as well. Their tea range is smallish but does include:
- TeDivina® – Detox Tea.
The rest of their range includes
- Café Divina® – Premium Coffee with a range of flavour mixes.
- Weight Loss Meal Replacement Shakes – Three flavours.
- Dietary Supplements.
- Vida Essentials – Skin Oil, Foundation and lipstick.
They also offer a small range of merchandise and custom printing options (business cards etc.) as well. Pricing and/or a shopping cart does not appear to be available on their website which is often the case when a company is geared almost exclusively towards its Network Marketing arrangements.
Members of the Vida Divina MLM program are called Affiliates and form part of a relatively modern MLM program with an extensive range of commission and bonus options. Their compensation plan is available via a graphical display on their website with base information and benefits as follows:
Base Commission rate: 50%
Down line commission rates: up to 20% to 7 levels (1st generation (down line level 1) rates 50%) – Silver rank and higher.
Minimum monthly spend to qualify for commissions

The Organo MLM program calls their members independent ‘Distribution Partners’ who are part of what appears to be a standard program with a common retail and downline commission structure and a good number of bonus options included. Their compensation plan is available (albeit in a brief and fairly ambiguous version) on their website so here are the basics as I have found them …
Note: Much of this information has been taken from the South African version of the Compensation Plan as that is the only one I could locate via online searches…
Base Commission rate: up to 50%
Down line commission rates: 1 – 5% to 9 levels (level 1 down line is 5% – Rank of Marketing Associate and above)
Minimum monthly spend to qualify for commissions:
To qualify for downline commissions, Distribution Partners (DPs) are required to maintain a status of ‘Active’ via the generation of minimum PQV targets of at least 50 per month. This can be made of personal or customer sales. Base retail profit payments however can be earned without the need to meet or maintain sales targets.

Purchase requirements to join: Yes – I was not able to locate any information in regards to joining costs or starting purchase requirements however the compensation plan does refer to Promotional Product Packs which appear to be optional at time of sign up. Alphay
Based in Canada, but born out of China, Alphay is a billion dollar company and the “world's largest grower, supplier, and knowledge-base of the Lingzhi mushroom”. The company has dedicated over half a century into the research and cultivation of this mushroom to combine the “wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine and advanced nutritional science to develop ground-breaking products that support health, beauty, well-being, and above all – longevity”
In general, Alphay offers a range of supplement capsules based on the cultivation of the Lingzhi mushroom that are incorporated with other ingredients from ancient and modern natural medicines (such as Organic Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps and Schisandra). Their mushroom blended tea range, whilst not real large, includes:
- Royal Blend tea
The rest of their supplements based inventory is as follows (names of products reflect their benefit):

- Revitalize
Coffee
- Rich Black coffee

The Alphay MLM program calls their members ‘Independent Distributors' who are part of what appears to be a simple program with a common retail and downline commission structure found within most MLM programs with a few bonus options included as well. Their compensation plan is available on their website so here are the basics as I have found them…
Base Commission rate: up to 25%
Down line commission rates: 5 – 15% to 8 levels (level 1 down line is 15% – rank Silver and above)
Minimum monthly spend to qualify for commissions
To qualify for downline commissions, Distributors are required to maintain a status of “Active” via meeting PQV targets of at least 50 per month. This can be made of personal or customer sales. Base retail sales commissions however can be earned without the need to meet or maintain sales targets.
Payment terms: Daily/Weekly/Monthly.
Application required?: Yes, Application form on website.
Purchase requirements to join: Yes
Although not stated on their website that I could find, my research did uncover the following (please comment below if this is inaccurate):
- Joining fee: $35 – access to a personalised website, training and an online office.
- Starter kits: Builder pack: $249 or Executive pack: $999 – From what I can find however, these are not mandatory
Ongoing purchases are not mandatory however the compensation plan does highlight the ability to purchase products at discount and sell at a price set by the Distributor at parties, kiosks, markets etc. meaning some outlays if this path is chosen.
Marketing materials provided: As per joining fee outline above.

revital U
Calling itself the “Sample First Company”, revital U was founded by Andrew McWilliam in 2016. The sales focus of the company is based on its “You Don't Have To Sell… Just Sample!” philosophy. This is based on the theory that once you send some free samples to your friends and acquaintances, they will love the product so much that they will just have to buy. revital U is based in Dallas, TX in the United States.

The revital U MLM program calls their members ‘Brand Influencers' (BIs) who are part of what appears to be a very simple program with a limited number of common payment options. You too can start your very own online business here that can make you money from anywhere in the world!!
Total Life Changes
Information within the website in regards to this company is quite light on in that all I can find is Total Life Changes (TLC) is based in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I quick search on YouTube however identified the founder as a couple of guys by the name of Jack and john (I couldn't clearly hear their last names) who started the company in 1999 with the plan to “change lives around the world”. At that time, they started with one product called Nutra Burst which has now expanded to the full array of products listed below and sold with a mission to “provide products and a community that you'll feel”.
Their product range is a little eclectic however on further inspection I would say that they are probably more of a health supplements company with some other ‘stuff' added on.
Their tea related input is admittedly restricted to a small IASO Tea range however the remainder of their category/product lists are as follows:
- Dietary Supplements & Capsules
- Multi Vitamins – Capsules and Liquid
- Weight loss supplements
- CBD Oil drops and creams
- Face and hand creams
- Soaps and toothpaste
- Essential Oils
- Coffee
The Total Life Changes MLM program calls their members ‘Life Changers' who are part of what appears to be a fairly straight forward and standard program with base commissions and a few bonuses thrown in for good measure. Their compensation plan, whilst not available on the main pages of their website (that I could see), was found via a simple online search so let's check out the basics below…
Base Commission rate: 50% of the product's QV on all products sold.
Down line commission rates: 10 – 25% of downline sales (these are capped based on rank)
Minimum monthly spend to qualify for commissions:
To qualify for commissions, Life Changers (LCs) must be ‘Active' via the generation of at least 40QV or more (dependent upon rank) worth of sales on the monthly anniversary of their last order – this can be made of personal or customer orders.
Payment terms: Weekly and Monthly
Application required?: Yes, Application form on website.
Purchase requirements to join: Yes
New LCs are required to purchase either a Standard or Digital Starter Kit for $49.99 as well as a product purchase at time of sign up. Products costs range from around $50 for a single product up to over $1000 for a kit.
Marketing materials provided: Business Starter kits, Training, Back Office

First Fitness Nutrition
Based in Texas in the United States, First Fitness Nutrition (FFN) was founded in 1989 by Nigel Branson and Lee Causey – who incidentally is credited on the site as being the inventor of the world’s first diet shake.
Again, their tea offering is actually just one Detoxifying Tea product rather than a ‘range' as such however this can be incorporated into their large array of weight loss, supplement and CBD Oil based products. There is also a smaller range of skin and body care creams etc. In the weight loss category, here are their main offerings:
- Weight loss Supplements
- Capsules
- Drinks
- Meal Replacement Shakes
- Packs
They also offer products as part of a dedicated weight loss program as well. And as with most programs of this type, there is also access to a large range of accompanying supplements, CBD and beauty products as well including:
- Health and Wellness Supplements
- Multi Vitamins
- Dietary/Health Supplements
- Superfood capsules
- Antioxidant drinks
- Herbal Cleansing
- Probiotics
- Liver and Colon cleansers
- CBD Rich Hemp Oil
- Sports Nutrition
- Protein Shakes
- Protein Bars
- Hydration and Energy drinks
- Body Products
- Cleansers
- Exfoliants
- Moisturisers
- Energisers
- Aloe Vera Creams and gels
The FFN MLM program calls their members ‘Distributors' who are part of a fairly stock standard program and commission structure. Their website and processes appear to set it up as a network marketing company first, and a marketplace second. Their compensation plan, whilst not as comprehensive as others, is available so let's check out the basics:
Base Commission rate: 20 – 40%
Down line commission rates: 6 – 8% to 5 levels (1st generation (down line level 1) rates 6%).
Minimum monthly spend to qualify for commissions
- Distributors are required to maintain $100 Autoship PV or $150 other PV per month.
Payment terms: Weekly and monthly.
Application required?: Yes, personal and payment information at time of first purchase
Purchase requirements to join: Yes
- Membership joining cost $29 which includes a distributor kit
- New members can then also choose a Join pak as follows – the purchase of these paks then determines the amount of commission/discount that can be earned moving forward:
- No Pak purchased – 20% discount/commission
- Business Pak – $279 – 25% discount/commission
- Executive Pak – $549 – 30% discount/commission
- Director Pak – $999 – 40% discount/commission
These paks are not mandatory however many of the bonuses and commissions outlined below are reliant upon ‘encouraging' your newly referred down line members to purchase one at time of enrollment.
Marketing materials provided: Personal website, marketing materials, back office.

The Sipology MLM program calls their members ‘Sipologists' who are part of what appears to be a simple program based on both the online and traditional party plan models. Unfortunately I was unable to locate their compensation plan on their website or via an online web search so I am completing the below based on what information is available on the sites of Sipologists – of course then please comment below if any of my information is inaccurate…
Base Commission rate: 25% to 35%
Down line commission rates: 3 – 5%
Minimum monthly spend to qualify for commissions
To qualify for downline commissions, Sipologists are required to meet monthly PV targets. This can be made of personal or customer sales. Base 25% sales commissions however can be earned without the need to meet or maintain sales targets.
Payment terms: Weekly/Monthly.
Application required?: Yes, Application form on website.
Purchase requirements to join: Yes
New Sipologists are required to purchase a Starter kits at a cost of $99.
Ongoing purchases are not mandatory however the website does highlight one of its main sales process as via tea tasting parties so it has to be assumed from that that some further purchases of samples may be required to ensure demonstration stock is available at all times.
Marketing materials provided: As per starter kit.

How to find your own MLM programs
The sites above have hopefully provided you with a good cross section in regards to what is available within the world of tea based MLM programs. That does not mean that you cannot find others that better suit what it is that you are trying to do within this space. Luckily for us, there is a simple way to find these programs online. All you need to do is enter “MLM: niche type” into your search engine (substituting ‘niche type‘ for whatever product it is that you are choosing to sell).
So to find possible MLM sites that offer supplement, or health and wellness based products, you can try “MLM: tea” within your search engine: In most cases, you will need to apply for the program before you are allowed to promote their products – This is generally not as regimented as many affiliate marketing programs however if asked for more information don’t take this step lightly or you may be rejected. On top of the basic information, MLM programs may want to know:
- Why you want to join
- How you plan to promote their products.
Most platforms however will provide you with a good amount of promotional materials such as text links, ad banners, posters, guides, e-books and so on. Many even provide a personalized website within which to manage your sales.
Conclusion
So… There are some of the best MLM tea companies to pour into that downline pot. I hope it has been helpful for you as you commence your own online multi level marketing business and as usual, please do not hesitate to comment below if you have any questions, need some advice or have any experiences to share.
Oh, and especially comment if you have any experience with these, or any other programs as well.
Until next time
Have fun
Paul

I just found out about an MLM company called Sipology that markets only tea and related products. I was searching to see if there are others. Thought you might want to know this to complete your list. 🙂
Hi Diane
Thanks for letting me know – Information for this one was a little harder to come by but I have completed the review and will add to this list soon
Paul
Hey Paul, I’m back. Thanks for adding the company information. After posting that comment, I decided to join Sipology. I couldn’t figure out any way to try the tea except to sign up! The signup was quite reasonable–about $100 and you get over $400 worth of products in your starter kit! A variety of teas, a pot, infuser, spoons, special cup, whisk for matcha, etc. Really great value.
Unfortunately although they have tea varieties, flavors, and products that sound wonderful, so far I’ve tried about a dozen and I’ve been disappointed. To be fair, I might be a tea snob–or connoisseur–because I’ve drunk so much tea for so many years, I’m known among my friends as an expert. 🙂 But even their original tea, the “one that started it all”–Earl Grey de la Creme–is not as good as the same flavor by Celestial Seasonings. CS is a supermarket tea that sells for less than $4/box ($2.50 at Walmart!). The Sipology product is $15 for 2.65 oz. which is supposed to be 50 servings, so it should be good value, but the flavor is very weak. With black tea I want a robust cup to drink with milk or even cream. I can barely taste the bergamot in this (the citrus flavor that makes Earl Grey what it is).
I just looked up Celestial Seasonings and the total weight for 16 teabags is 1.1 oz. (I figured I might as well complete my comparison!) Something is “off” on the whole thing…because with loose leaf tea (virtually all of Sipology’s tea is loose leaf), you’re supposed to use less tea. Even if I doubled the amount of tea I’m using (2 tsp. instead of 1), and got better flavor, I’d be getting 25 cups for $15. With Celestial Seasonings I get 16 cups for $3. I realize this is supposed to be premium tea (I expected to compare it to Teavana), and I don’t mind paying more if the tea really is better, but so far I haven’t tasted anything I would buy again.
The flavors are obviously crafted by experts and the ingredients sound lovely, but the first sip is always disappointing and nothing stands out to make me want to return for more. The only tea I’ve enjoyed at all is the matcha (Triple Berry Matcha), but to make that taste good, I added honey and heavy cream. I could enjoy it more if it weren’t $40 for 100 servings! And I don’t like my tea sweet, so it’s not really my thing.
A typical American who only drinks Lipton occasionally might find nothing to complain about, so maybe that’s the target market and I’ll have to take my tea snobbishness elsewhere! I have a feeling the company will continue to grow well, because tea is a growing trend. Partly due to the health benefits (antioxidants), getting away from the high caffeine of coffee but still getting a “lift,” lower cost (tea is MUCH cheaper per cup), and maybe most of all the tea experience. It’s associated with “me time” or special times with friends, relaxing, etc.
I hope this might help someone. Maybe you should update your article and put Sipology near the top, as it’s the only MLM just selling tea. I actually ended up back here because I was looking to see if there were any others! I really want to sell tea…but it has to be GOOD tea. By the way, only a few of their teas are organic, but the other info looks pretty good. You misspelled North America near the beginning of your article, but I’ll ignore the other typos. 🙂 (I can’t help noticing, as I’m a proofreader!)
One clarification about something I learned from a video by Tania on YouTube. You said, “Sipology specialises mainly in Steeped Tea,” but actually Steeped Tea was the original name of her company in Canada. I think it was when she expanded into the US that she came up with the name Sipology. So officially it’s “Sipology by Steeped Tea.”
Wow – what great information
Thanks so much for the update
Paul
Thank you for the review I myself was thinking of Sipology because I love tea & figured why not have a business with it however if there isn’t much taste I may be better off with another company. I also love Celestial tea, its also certified non gmo, & they all taste wonderful so not sure how I’d feel about Sipology now & rather not spend the money for it. Appreciate your honest review.
